  • The coastal Ecosystem beside Sunderbans is highly porn to extreme weather events i.e. tidal floods, cyclonic storms, more variable precipitation and soil salinity. The community is highly vulnerable to climate change due to scarcity of fodder, firewood & water and less access to information that would allow them to manage such climate-related risks to agriculture and livestock. Therefore, ISWS aims at to reduce the vulnerability of local community. We are trying to building partnership and strengthening capacity and resilience of local community. We took initiative to form 14 village level Climate change adaptation committees. Presently we are organizing trainings on Disaster Risk Reduction in those vulnerable villages.
